LIFE MAGAZINE FIRST ISSUE NOV 23 1936

This offering is for the first edition of Life magazine, dated November 23, 1936, Vol. 1, No. 1.  Indeed, this is a historic piece, as Life went on to chronicle America and the world for decades after.

This original piece is the smaller size of the magazine, measuring 6 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, and is 96 pp. long.  The cover shot is of a dam at Fort Peck Montana, by noted photographer Margaret Bourke-White.  Through this magazine are a mix of great old ads, as well as news items and photos from both the US and abroad.

This fine vintage publication is in good condition.  The binding is solid, and it only shows a moderate amount of wear.  It does not have a damp or mildewy smell to it.
